SCDS works with 'under-represented' groups in support of the ACPOS Equality and Diversity Strategy.

We are currently engaged with the Women's Development Forum (WDF), the Gay Police Association (GPA), SEMPERScotland, and the Strathclyde Police Women's Association (SPWA).

The Development Advisor working with Under-Represented Groups has:

• provided 'Achieving Your Goals' workshops at the WDF Conference 2009
• participates in the WDF committee meetings
• participates in SPWA committee meetings
• provided Introduction to Personal/Professional Development (PDP) Planning Workshops for SPWA members
• links in with the ACPOS National HR Diversity Co-ordinator.

The Development Advisor is looking to increase engagement with representatives of minority or under-represented staff groups from across the Scottish police service and can provide the following support:

• Personal & Professional Development Planning (PDP)
• Group Activities
• Group Liaison
