Operational Review

Results Analysis

Tayside Police

In relation to a recent intelligence led drug related initiative, Tayside Police have compiled a good example of a results analysis document. It is clear from the content that this analytical product was well planned with appropriate measures and controls identified at the outset. In terms of operational review the product identifies clearly the strengths and weaknesses of the operation carried out and will be useful when similar operations are undertaken in the future.

Tasking / Feedback forms

Northern Constabulary

The use of tasking and feedback forms within the analytical function was noted as evidence of good practice as this provides useful information in relation to the nature of analytical tasking and its use in practical policing situations.

Central Scotland Police

The use of activity bid forms and evaluation forms for feedback is considered good practice. The bid forms enable more effective management of workloads by supervisors and assist to ensure that work undertaken is in line with force / area command priorities.
